Characters a guesser would have to try
Generated with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is stored — close the tab and it is gone.
Create a password long enough to be genuinely hard to guess, using your browser’s secure random number generator.
How to use it
- Set the length — 16 characters or more is a good default.
- Choose the character sets, and whether to avoid look-alike letters and digits.
- Press Generate, then copy the password into your password manager.
Good to know
- Strength is shown in bits of entropy: each extra character multiplies the work for anyone guessing.
- Nothing is stored. The password exists on the page until you close it, so copy it before you leave.

Frequently asked questions
How long should a password be?
Sixteen random characters or more, kept in a password manager. Length adds more strength than adding more symbols.
Should I avoid look-alike characters?
It helps when you have to read a password off a screen or type it by hand. If it goes straight into a password manager, leaving them in gives slightly more entropy.
